notgoingtouni.co.uk is dedicated to helping young people make informed decisions about their future by showing the opportunities that exist outside of university. University is great for many people & UCAS has long existed to show students the courses available. notgoingtouni.co.uk shows the other side and can be described as the ‘non-graduate UCAS’. They provide a platform for young people to engage with employers & training providers and discover that you can lead a success career without university! Despite the name they are not anti-university - notgoingtouni.co.uk is packed full of apprenticeships & lists apprenticeship employers, ways to get a degree debt-free and alternative forms of study.

plotr, founded in 2011, is a new(ish) careers platform for 11- to 24-year-olds. With the leadership of industry and the support of government, they have created a website that aspires to give young people the help they need to build the careers they want. plotr is a not-for-profit and free for young people, parents and teachers to use. The graphical layout and content around 'Career Worlds' is quite interesting, the location based opportunity finder is a nice trick and there are some interesting articles if you can find the time to read them all.
